About the Romnja Feminist Library

The Romnja Feminist Library (RFL) is a community-led transnational digital platform founded in 2023 where Romani women and queer Roma reclaim narratives and fight for justice beyond borders and academia.

Our mission is to centre the knowledge of Romani women and queer Roma in digital spaces and beyond –  across activist, academic, and decision-making spaces. We aim to create and hold knowledge collectively, build power across borders, and contribute to collective narratives of change from a Roma feminist and decolonial perspective.

About the role

We are looking for a Community Knowledge Organizer to support the development of a community-led process focused on how Romnja feminist knowledge production can grow in digital public spaces through ethical, participatory, and collective methodologies.

The role brings together community engagement, participatory research, coordination, facilitation, and documentation, contributing to the continued development of the Romnja Feminist Library.

We are looking for someone who understands that digital spaces are not neutral. Decisions about whose voices are visible, how they are represented, whose knowledge is recognised, and who governs these narratives are questions of power, justice, and collective responsibility.

Main responsibilities

The Community Knowledge Organizer will contribute to:

  • Contributing to a community-led process exploring how Romnja feminist knowledge production can exist and flourish in digital public spaces

  • Building relationships and collaborating with partner organisations and community members engaged in the collective process

  • Organising co-design session and community meetings both online and in person

  • Documenting processes, reflections, methodologies, and collective learnings

  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the Romnja Feminist Library

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to feminist, anti-racist, decolonial, and digital justice approaches

  • Understands the importance of lived experience, community ownership, reciprocity, and ethical approaches to knowledge production

  • Has at least 2 years of experience in project coordination, participatory research, knowledge production processes, community organising, activism, or related fields

  • Can work independently while valuing collaboration, accountability, and collective decision-making

  • Is attentive to questions of care, consent, accessibility, safety, and representation

Experience with digital platforms, archives, research, writing, editing, facilitation, or community-based knowledge projects is an asset.

We encourage applications from Romnja and other racialised women and queer people whose professional and lived experiences can contribute to strengthening community-led knowledge production.

How to apply

Please send:

  • CV

  • A short motivation letter (maximum 500 words) explaining your interest in the role and your connection to our work or a short video of maximum 3 minutes
